Agree. Scheduled workouts close to the entrance traces of an impending sizzling warfare are by no means gonna be routine, and each little factor doubtlessly sends a message about intentions, propensities, capacities, and so on. A part of the purpose is to discourage (or if vital, repel) any attainable grander designs that Putin might need on present NATO members within the Baltic, and to reassure and attempt to stiffen the floppy spines of our European allies. (I’m speaking to you, Macron!) …and every motion carries some measure of threat of misinterpretation, miscalculation, or different errors that would spin uncontrolled rapidly (see the “In a position Archer” workouts within the 1980’s that just about triggered a Soviet nuclear response for an instance).
I’d hazard to guess that completely nothing is routine within the run-up to an invasion.
